How to Use Vitamin A Effectively for Treating Wrinkles

22nd September 2009 by Bronchitis No Comments

Vitamin A is one of the biggest components in wrinkle cream. Of course, each product will want you to believe that its the best at smoothing away wrinkles. Many of these products are deceptive and want you to believe they work when they don’t. Which includes putting microscopic pieces of glitter in the wrinkle removing cream. The glitter is used because it will reflect the light out of the creases of your skin. It then appears that your wrinkles have all disappeared. Of course, when you wash your face you also wash away your new, youthful skin.

Knowing all about vitamin A is very important in the anti-aging world. Vitamin A is also called retinol. It is very good at getting rid of wrinkles. The entire process could take a little time. Don’t worry. You will definitely see a difference.

Retinol is used because it causes your skin to stay elastic. Plus, it will help keep your skin hydrated. If you use enough it can even “plump” your wrinkles so that they are stretched tight and smoothed out.

But you should be aware of the complications that can be associated with the use of retinol. The biggest problem being sensitivity to the sun. You will become very sensitive to the sun when you are using vitamin A. If you go out for very long on a sunny day you can get burned. But if you are so worried about fighting wrinkles anyway, you shouldn’t be outside without sunblock on.

Retinol has the potential to create issues for people with sensitive skin. Your skin can become dry and you may get breakouts with regular use of retinol. However, this is usually the result of over doing it with your vitamin A treatments. Test your vitamin A product on the inside of your elbow first, if you are anxious about using it. Dab it on there twice a day for about a week. If there is no redness or inflammation, you should be okay. However, watch your skin and pay attention to the way it feels and looks to be sure that you are in good shape.

Here is my final warning. Always follow the directions! Vitamin A is not for people who just want to slather on any old moisturizer and feel good about “protecting” their skin. This is for people who are serious about beauty. Vitamin A can permanently erase wrinkles in many cases, so make sure that you are using it to get the best effects possible.
