Nasal Allergy And Sneezing

Allergic reactions can occur due to anything from a cleaning agent such as beach, pretty flowers to a widely used hair spray. Symptoms of nasal allergies mostly appear due to allergens such as dust mites, dry air, smog, cold air, humidity, sprays and perfumes, mold, pollen, animal dander, insects, smoke etc.
What are the signs that indicate occurrence of a nasal allergy? Conditions like sneezing, itchy nose and eyes and stuffy nose are the most common indicators of a nasal allergy. Even a few years back, majority of the allergy medication caused side effects like fatigue and drowsiness; but today, you will get several brands of allergy medications that do not result in these discomforting side effects.
When the signs of nasal allergy are mild (for instance stuffy nose, sneezing etc), you can take over-the-counter medications for eliminating the symptoms. However, in case of severe symptoms like asthma, you must contact a doctor immediately; the doctor will prescribe your medications for controlling the symptoms quickly. The doctor might recommend allergy shots if the condition of the patient does not improve even after consuming the oral medications prescribed by him. You will also get nasal sprays in the market for preventing occurrence of nasal allergies.
