Even before the advent of medicine, herbs have already been used by our ancestors to treat various ailments effectively. With proper research and common sense you will find out that there are still actually many effective asthma relief remedies that are not only safe but also relatively cheap. It’s very obvious as to why this is safe since you’ll only be using water, and water of course is free. Run the shower as hot as it can go until steam starts to build inside the bathroom. When the room starts to get misty, go in and start inhaling the rising steam deeply, continuing until it dissipates or when you start to feel better.

Coffee: Cheap, dark, steamy, coffee. The active components in coffee; caffeine has bronchodilating and expectorating effects. Breaking down mucus and easing inflamed airways allowing oxygen to flow in and out more freely. In fact your doctor might even suggest that you take coffee during times of emergency to immediately bring your condition under control. Regular intake of coffee (about a cup a day) has also been known to reduce the chances of flare-ups and attacks that you might experience.

Honey: Preferably, the cheap local ones as the imported and chemically tampered honey will have no effect whatsoever in relieving attacks or symptoms. A jug of honey placed under the nose have been known to bring relief by acting as an expectorant as well as bronchodilator breaking down mucus and relaxing inflamed airways. Mixing about 2 teaspoons of honey with warm milk taken before sleeping at night have also been known to improve conditions and prevent attacks from occurring.
