Curing Your Asthma in the Fastest Way Possible

31st December 2009 by Bronchitis No Comments

Is there even such a way? Well if you’ve done your homework or you’re an asthmatic you’d probably get the idea by now that there is NO cure nada, zip, zilch. Asthma is a chronic disease which has been existing along with the other incurable ailments like leprosy and cancer or maybe even longer. All the years of medical research and clinical trial have brought new techniques and medications that will help in the control and prevention but none in the “curing” department.

Therefore when your aim is curing the disease, the nearest you can come to would be through control. Achieving total or near total control over your condition would be the next best thing as this allows you to do things that would otherwise be impossible when you have asthma and live a normal, healthy and happy life.

So how will you be able to achieve control? One way would be through trigger control or avoidance. Triggers are those things which you cause your asthma to act up or flare-ups. Things like animal dander, pollen, fungus spores, dust mites, certain foods, or even cold weather. Of course these are just a few, this isn’t even the tip of the iceberg yet and each asthmatic will have different triggers depending on their condition, the severities that may result will differ as well. Knowing your triggers will allow you to minimize your attacks by taking action through avoidance or precaution.

Sounds easy right? But say for example you’ve been smoking for quite a while and your asthma gets triggered by smoke, what then? It is important that as early on as possible you make a conscious and final decision when you want to “cure” your asthma. The aim here of course is to have as lesser attacks and flare-ups as possible so that your body will be able to develop some sort or defense from it at least or allow your body to recover by itself.

The longer you will be able to fend off attacks, the better your condition will get and the easier it will be to handle in the future. Along with avoidance working cooperatively and proactively with your doctor can produce the results that you are gunning for. Understand that your condition will only get worse if you allow it to. Curing your asthma fast may not be possible for now, but control is within your reach, and it is up to you to take action.
